I have them for over 4 years now. These speakers come with their own stands, and silver speaker cables. External cross-overs. Including the stand, each speaker weighs about 55 lbs.
Sound... I had them hooked up to a Jadis DA60 for a long time. Even though the speakers internals are completely made of silver, the sound is not as bright as you might think. The sound is VERY detailed, VERY high resolution. Bass is the problem. Mids and highs are simply wonderful, the level of transparency is unmatched. But the bass does not go deep. It's there, but it's so 'remote', and it's VERY clean and articulate.
I now have them with a Mark Levinson 380s/331 setup. The sound is somewhat cleaner, bass is very controlled.
Besides the bass, another thing I find troublesome is their 'one-spot only' imaging. the sweet spot is so small, if your head is 2 inches off, it almost sounds like the speakers are out of phase.
Anyway, the SS30 are out, and they are a refinement to the SS25. I have listened to the SS30, it has maintaned all the good points of the SS25 and added extra bass extension. But imo, the SS25 are the best looking speakers, way better than the SS30!

Weakness:

Of course the bass extension, but remember it's only a monitor speakers

Buy these speakers if you have the money, but short on cash go for the Matrix 805.

Similar Products Used: Identical to the Matrix 805, the only major differenct betwen the 2 is the Silver Signature used all pure silver wiring.
