Strength:

Everything and extremely good pricing

Weakness:

Not enough people have heard them or heard of them

This an awesome speaker and I don't really understand why people pay three times as much for a big name brand that is really of equal value. If you get the chance to hear these speakers you will be sold on the spot and you will go home with some money in your pocket. Don't be the sucker that listens to the I get a bonus if I sell these 2000.00 bose speakers salessman. Listen and you will learn that you don't have to pay 3000.00 to get a really high quality speaker. You be the judge and you would go deaf if you listened to a speaker that can do more than these.

Weakness:

none at this price

I have to update because I have the new configuration.
I really like the new style more because they seem to have quite a bit more punch to them and the dynamic range is much greater.I only recieved them because I had a problem with one of my old ones which was probably a flook but they sent a transport at no charge to my house and solved the problem.I really do enjoy these speakers and their performance is outstanding for the price.I didn't realize it but Axiom makes speakers for many of the other well known companies so of course they can make better speakers for a lower price because they have more knowledge and more resources.I have not seen any speakers near this price range that could give the performance that these babies can give.I recieved my BLUE MAN GROUP CD and talk about the HAIRS standing up on the back of your neck.I have never heard anything like it before and I would MAJORLY RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE to get the CD called AUDIO and it will blow you away.BUY THE M80's and you will go home with some money in your pocket.I also have the VP150 and the M3TI's (my fav because of the price versus performance) and saving for some quads in the rear but I use the M3Ti's for know because I am broke. If you don't have the money to buy these go with the M3Ti's and you will be impressed by their performance and they didn't get the bookshelf of the year award from soundstage.com for nothing (THEY DESERVED IT AND THEY DIDN"T BUY IT).It is nice to see an honest Canadian comapny at the top.
Ian Colquin and all of the crew at Axiom gets five stars in my sky.

Strength:

Beautiful, full sound

Weakness:

none

WOW. I am absolutely amazed by the sound of these speakers. I truly feel this speaker is the best kept secret. This is the best $800 USD ($1300CDN w/ shipping) I have ever spend on any speaker system. Large accurate soundstage, accurate imaging, deep bass, very efficient (98db sensitivity). Sound great for classical music, jazz, and home theater.

I am going to be buying a center chanel, and possibly surrounds from this company as well.

I bought my speakers from Audioshop. Marc there is extremely helpful. Originally I bought a different speaker system, tried it out, wasn't impressed, returned it for full credit and got this speaker system. Currently they have one of these speaker systems as a demo for $1000CDN (~$650USD) and at this price it's a steal. If this is gone, ask Marc to get you a factory second sample (usually it will have minor cabinet blemish but cheaper).

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Strength:

Incredible Sound Quality, Imaging! Finish, Cabinet Build, Drivers, Specs, Axiom Customer Support & Purchasing!

Weakness:

Absolutly NONE!

With all the recent upgrades to my system I knew I had to get rid of the my lacking but old friend Cerwin Vega speakers. Due to budget I was looking for an audiophile grade speaker that would handle the power of my amps and not break the bank on money. I auditioned many speakers at the local audiophile shops and had pretty much decided to to go with PSB's until I found Axiom's website and the other reviews on this web site. For the money in compairson to the PSB's the Axioms handled more power, had more drivers and a better sensivity rating. After several conversations and emails with Axiom that were very promising and informative I went ahead and ordered a set of M80Ti's. What did I have to lose?! 30 day money back guarantee and they pay shipping! After talking with them I decided to order the factory outlet M80Ti speakers at a reduced cost of $880 vs $1100. These were supposed to be "blemished" But I have yet to actually find something that could be called a real "blemish!" The price also included 2 day fed ex air shipping! When the speakers came in they were double boxed with ton's of 1"+ cardboard filler around all sides of the inside speaker box! SUPER professional packing job, not one problem with shipping damage would have been possible! The finish and build of the cabinets are incredible, very high quality craftsmanship. I immediately fell in love with the speakers when I connected them to my system. Even with just 2 speakers the imaging was so pronounced that it sounded like I had a center channel, smooth realistic highs, voice male and female are incredible, sound stage price and very detailed. Bass tight and solid, amazing coming from 2 6.5" woofers! The same day I connected these speakers up I ordered the rest of the speakers for my system, knowing I absolutly made the right decision! Adding the VP150 and the M60's to the rear made my system absolutly incredible! The Marantz 6 channel stereo mode is stunning with this configuration. The only thing I can tell you that is an issue is speaker placement. These speakers do not like to be boxed in by walls and tight places. If you run them less that 8" close to the rear wall without angleing them they will bounch bass back a little bit. I pulled them out about a foot and noticed a big improved difference. Other than that these speakers deserve a 5 star rating for the money and a 5 star for the build and sound quality, FAR better than I imagined! Do not hesitate on these speakers and be skeptical as I was in the beginning! They are worth every penny, and you have a free 30 day trial period, plus a company that is a pleasure to deal with and stands behind their produce 110%!

Strength:

powerful, clear, great imaging

Weakness:

need a receiver that handles 4 ohms speakers (no problem for me though)

Well, Jack doesn't know squat!
He obviously is out to defame the Axiom name since you can't buy Axiom speakers from a store in the USA, only from their website (www.axiomaudio.com) or a Canadian dealer!

I have auditioned the speakers and can say that they are excellent.

I will be purchasing the Epic 80 system within a month or so and will properly review them later.

Somebody should let Jack out of his close-minded box!

It's jokers like him that ruin it for everyone.

Strength:

clarity, balance, smoothness, value, very musical, easy to drive.

Weakness:

none.

The following review is in response to the one preceding:

Jack,

Have you listened to these speakers prior to your review? I can assure you that I have.

I own several Axiom-Audio speakers as follows: M3Ti, AX-1 reference monitor, AX-3 towers, and pair of AX-500a subwoofers. They are very smooth, supremely balanced, and highly musical. The new M-series Axioms provide outstanding clarity that simply belie their asking price.

I have listened also to Bose speakers. I cannot comment similarly. In fact, I find Bose speakers to be marginal in performance and outrageously overpriced.

I appreciate other people's opinions, especially those that may differ from mine. It provides valuable insight to the world around me, which, in turn, adds to my own.

However, I can find no value or basis in your review of these speakers. I frankly doubt you have ever listened to any Axiom-Audio speaker. I question your motive in reviewing, and find funny your description of yourself as "audiophile".

In respect to the product as personally reviewed, and to counteract the ignorance of the preceding reviewer, I herein submit my rating as indicated below.

Strength:

Excellent voice and high end response when you give them power at any range they respond in a positive way very little if none distortion.

Weakness:

not really much in the bass department but they do respond nicely and they don't crap out like some speakers if had

All around a good to excellent speaker my Axiom speakers have a 5 year warranty and I have never had a problem with them. I have them hooked up to a Dolby Pro Logic Receiver (Sony)which puts out 100 wts/ch times 5 (including the center channel ) and I'm very satisfied with them although I really love Bose one day I might be able to afford some/

Strength:

Real good sound dispersion, great price, good construction
nice 5 year warranty

Weakness:

other pruducts...not so good (except for the center)

Looked at a quite a lot of brands and after hearing these...well couldn't resist
the sound dispertion was awesom...it felt like the 55" tv
was not on mute...i think that this product should have gotten more attention....
I have them for a year as mains and just bought a other set ($750.00 can for a pair)for the rears (overkill) but they sound fantastic....

Best deal for the buck...
If you get a chance to hear them with a good amp (like the Denon avr-4800) I"m sure you will end up bying them
