I recently bought the Atlantic Tech 350THX system with one subwoofer and stands and hooked it up with my existing subwoofer (Infinity SSW-212). The system is being driven by an HKAVR85. Digital input is from a DVD.
The Setup: Unfortunately, the stands are not included with the system, which is a real crime, even though this is a great price for a THX system. The stands are tough to attach with one person, though do-able. The stands also come with included speaker spikes, which are a nice touch (Tip-Toes are ~$50 each). The manufacturer recommends putting sand in the bases, which I did. All in all, it took me about 2 hours for the project (alone).

The Look: With the stands, the front speakers are nearly the height of my TV (Toshiba 55H90) and they have the same finish. It's quite and imposing view! The CC speaker with it's adjustable angle base it quite convenient, particularly with a large TV. The rears are unique in their triangular shape and look really cool.

The Sound: Where do I begin? From the top down, I suppose. The imageing is outstanding - both seamless between the speakers and crystal clear. The dialogue is exceptionally clear as well. The pounding bass (I mean POUNDING)knocks your socks off, but remains SHARP. The surrounds give an awesome diffuse sound on PROLOGIC soundtracks and will give excellent localization for DD.

Overall, a winner, particularly as the price comes down.

I have been looking into the whole AT product line also....The 350THX can be had for $2495
The new 270THX sound grwat, but depending on the price the 350's might be a steal....

I have also been looking for a Receiver also....

Yamaha recommends regular speakers for the rear and AT's are Bipolar....

If you listen to this combo let us know how it sounds..

Can those who have heard or own this system please post some reviews on it.. I am considering pairing this with a Yamaha RX-V2095.. any thoughts? Atlantic also has the new 270 system, but they are not THX certified.. with the price drop in the 350's, I should be able to get them for just a bit over the newer 270's.. is this wise? I hope to heer some thoughts on these speakers soon, Thanks.

To KTA,I do not own these system, however I have AT 250.1 system, and it sound excellent for the money that I paid $1200,better than some speakers costing double the price. Now imagene the system 270 or even better system 350 they most have incredible sound. To be honest I have not hear the 270 or 350 system. However All the review that I have hear from all the Atlantic technology speakers have been excellent including these two system Which you can find on Home Theater magazine webside. Just type www.hometheatermag.com then go to the archives link and on 10/98 link from 1998 you will find the 270 system review. For the 350 on the same archives link click on 1995 link and then go down to the system review of 10/95 and you will find a great review of system 350. If you want the spec of these two systems type www.atlantictechnology.com. After owning and been so happy with my system 250.1 for some time,I have been thinking to move these one to my smaller living room and get the AT 370 system using the Yamaha DSP-A1 as A/V for my larger living room which is similar to the match you are tring to do. As always the best way to decide which system to buy is to listen, there is a place on NJ close from NY Call SoundCity PH:1-800-542-7283 I think they have a showroom and sell all the AT line. I definitive will buy Atlantic Techonology speakers again, but the only concern is; if it match well with Yamaha DSP-A1. If you listen to any of those two systems with the Yamaha 2095 let me know your opinion because is very similar to the conbination I want to have. Thanks

I just bought the 350 system with only one 352 subwoofer. The front, center, and surrounds are fantastic. I am still learning how to set it all up with my newly acquired Kenwood KR-X1000. I haven't yet used a sound level meter to adjust outputs. Initially I must say that playing music is the most difficult for subwoofer adjustment. It sounds too muddy (slow to respond) when playing tracks with plenty of bass. I think it is just a matter of learning enough on subwoofer placement and output level to enjoy music as well as movies. ANY RECOMMENDATIONS ON SETUP WITH THIS RECEIVER AND SPEAKER SYSTEM WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

I just received the 350THX from Onecall. They are selling them for a little under $2,000 with one sub and all stands or two subs, and no stands.I have to say, I am incredibly impressed with the speakers. They sound so much better than my Polk RM3000. I thought that I had it good, until I got the 350THX. The only problem is that I can't turn them up! My wife complains that I am shaking the house loose from the foundations.
I think that they are a much better deal than the 270 as they are being discontinued. You could of course get the newer 370THX for $4,000.
Great sound and great deal.

I also got my 350 THX speakers (with one subwoofer) from OneCall. They sent the speaker in just two business days! I paired the speakers with Denon AVR 5700. For music, the sound is very clear and natural. You can listen to it for hours without being tired!! The Denon has 5 channel stereo mode which is also suitable for this speaker system, it give a feeling of 3D-space to the music. In movie (DVD's dolby digital), the sound is also very clear (listen to the dialog yourself), the bass for the sub is deep and loud but in harmony with other speakers. Although the surround speakers are dipole, I am satisfied with the sound either for DD or for 5channel stereo. I haven't try it for DTS but I'm sure I'll not dissappointed with it too. A very good deal considering the superb performance.

For the money and intended use this is the best system available for this price .....I have both subs(newer design w/225w amps & better woofer) and for movies I am VERY happy with this system. As for music playback....not that bad....but for the money there are better speakers....however, this is a home theater speaker system and that is what it does so well. Can't have your cake and eat it too as they say. For home theater and the price this system rocks big time! If I did not get the AT 350 system I would get the AT 370 but would have to pay twice as much for little difference and a single 15in sub...rather have two 12in subs. Like I said....for the money you can not get a better HT speaker system. NOTE: sounds better with THX amp over the HK 75 I am now running due to high X-over point to subs. Speakers go down to 80Hz but X-over is at 110 on HK AVR75.
