Sheer presence, effortless performance

Need carful positioning and setting up.
I now need to upgrade my CD player

Having turned these beasts upside down to fix the bases and spikes and then connected them, I was somewhat concerned about the crackly-buzzing I heard. However I think that it was some of the weighting material had come loose (some kind of beads I guess?).

Rocking the removed the fault and now I am delighted with them. Full rich sounding, they have a visual as well as audio presence. Like others have commented, this model is now been replaced by the £600 (UKP) special edition version(According to Accoustic Energy they are accoustically identical, just a different finish?!?), what is left of this one is available at a bargain price.


So they may not be the best $900 speakers you can buy, but they are the best you can get for $400!
