Strength:

umm, we'll see...
so far, they sound pretty damn good for $50.

Weakness:

uncertainty with this scam buisness...
could it be that the company is just way over-pricing $100 dollar speakers?
but, then again, this whole van buisness is insane. I would love to meet the guy who came up with that one!

ha, this is some crazy stuff.
I saw these at the salvation army and had the same reaction as most of you, 'what's this brand'??? I thought I'd give them a try since salvo takes stuff back. But I think I'm going to keep them!

I know they're not going to satisfy you audiophiles, and I think that's the situation here with the polarity between the glowing and the negative reviews- for those of us that haven't used top end stuff before, these aren't so bad! Yes, I was waiting for the pops and blow too, and I don't know what's going to happen in the future, especially if I upgrade my receiver, but these sound pretty good for $50.
word!

Customer Service

huh?

Strength:

like all cheep things if you can get a good set? seems some are and some are not. I'mm one of the few people that can hear up to 28000Hz and they sound ok but thats all. I have a old set of pioneer cs-33 that sound as good and they were made 68 if you can get them cheep ok but never give a travling salesman his asking price. and like so many have said on this Beware!!! but they do look good.

Weakness:

cost they are not worth 200 I can make better for that much. if you can get them for $100 a pair or less ok and try them first or dont buy

same story, two guys in a red van this time. "suppliers delivered too many". came in to my store. They had six left and did not want to take them back. well have people like this about two times a month selling something.they try to sell them to me and I laughed. then they came back in and wanted to trade for a paintgun being a salesman myself "let the fun and BS start lol" well they left with a pump gun 200 balls and a cheep mask. from what i,mm reading here thats all they were worth, maybe a little more but not much with no support. well mine have worked good for the last 5 years and i have pushed them hard the top end dose have some holes in it but the lows are very good they make a good surround speaker as thats what they are for me now but stuido "not" this pair has a clean sound good for watching movies. they are the back pair. oh and my cost 71 bucks worth of stuff my cost.

Strength:

They pump. They pump loud. Hold up under beatings from what others have written. If you buy them for $100 or so - a friggin deal.

Weakness:

That they don't just sell them for $150 instead of trying to con people.

Welp, i found mine on the sidewalk 2 doors down (in SF people put out stuff they don't want for the taking). Exactly what I've always wanted - 2 great big Black Sabbath crankin speakers. And I was coming from buying 2 old Celestion Dittons off some dude for $20. Go figure. Recognized the make from the cheesy nobs. Remember the dudes in the vans from high school. Well, I hooked these up and they did just what I hoped - they friggin cranked. Had them hooked up to my (late 80's) Onkyo, and they sounded alright. It's a clear receiver so it was nice. But then i hooked them back up to my (i think mid 80's) JVC (210 watt), and these things just pump. Get ya right in the stomach and chest. Room shakes. Flat shakes. No, not audiophile quality (gimme a break), but worth a good $150 or so for cranking whatever you wanna crank.

Nuthin similar. Got some Celestion Ditton 100's which are amazing even tho 25 years old.

Strength:

Heavy solid cabinets. Slammin, punchin base. Killer for rock. And mine were free ;).

Weakness:

The fact they don't just sell these $150 or $200 outright. I would.

This is a trip. Got out of my car holding 2 Celestion Dittons i got for $20 bucks,(they're about 25 years old, and literally turn my pal's heads when they do their thing,) and there were 2 great big Black Sabbath crankin things sitting on the sidewalk. Nobody movin out, no doors open - MINE!! (people in SF put out stuff they don't want for others to snag.) Couldn't believe my eyes. Ran 'em upstairs, hooked em up to my JVC nothing special receiver, and they friggin cranked. Shook my place. I was thrilled. Based just slammed. Put my Celestions on top, and the highs and mids are stellar. These things are great for cranking, parties etc. If you see these guys, offer them $150 and grab them. Scam or not, they're worth that much easy. IF YOU ARE JOE FRIGGIN AUDIOPHILE, AND THINK YOU ARE SO SMART, YOU SHOULD KNOW BETTER.

Strength:

Great for parties where the quality is not important as long as you keep the bass to a minimum !

Weakness:

Mutton dressed as what ?

I just stumbled upon this site after searching for these 3312's I bought these in a local secondhand chain for £60 and I've been using them in my studio, I have the 3312's they are different to the 3311's, mine are covered in a carpet type material similar to what is found on car subs & the badge on the front reads; MAX. PWR.: 150 WATTS PROGRAM MIN. PWR. HANDLING: 5 WATTS NOMINAL IMPEDENCE: 8 OHMS FREQUENCY RESPONSE: 35-22 KHZ SENSITIVITY 92 DB PER WATT DIGITAL READY MADE IN USA They seem to be quite consistent at all volume levels, I don't have any problems with dropouts at lower levels. They sound quite heavy on the bass and that is probably due to the mids & tweeters needing more gain, there are frequency gaps all over the place from about 1Khz upwards. I can't really see it as a scam though, especially if you paid less than £100/150 (which seems to be an average price) but if you payed £300+ then you need your head testing !

Strength:

A fun and lucrative way to make a living

Weakness:

not that many repeat buyers, really. Although this one customer was amazed that it happened to him in Florida, too!

Hello. I sell these speakers out of my white van. (White is the most common colour of cargo vans.) I don't agree with the word 'scam' being used over and over in reviews and various web postings. If the speakers were empty boxes with no components, THEN it would be a "scam". It's actually just a hustle. Why does it work? Because people are greedy. They want something for nothing. You CANNOT cheat an honest man. I always smile when, periodically, I run into a man who tells me the right thing to do would be to just take the "extra" speakers back. Of course, they are few and far between. The average joe who buys these speakers from me lies through his teeth about how he really doesn't need them, his wife will shoot him, etc, etc, to get a better bargain from me. And then when he finds out I may have lied too, I'm the bad guy. That's O.K. I sleep well at night because the brand that I sell here in Toronto are selling in some stores for $600 a pair. Exact same speakers, just different name. I routinely sell mine for $200 if that's all a guy can afford. No, it's definately NOT a scam, but a marketing technique. It has proven successfull because some people think they are going to capitilize on someone else's loss. Caveat emptor.

Weakness:

dont feel too stupid folks.i passed on a nice pair of klipsch heresy2's for 50 bux.which is how i got interesed in spkrs

wow im so glad i waited.saw these at a garage sale for 25 bux for both.but the foam on one of the woofers was damaged.have been getting some pretty good deals at garage sales on expensive type speakers that need refoaming.and doing the work myself to resurrect them.these looked like a good choice hmmm.... expensive looking, big...and heavy.but where oh where is the brand name.hmmm.acoustic studio monitor; that sounds impressive.where is the model number oh here real small 3311.these are pretty scuffed and the grill cloths would need replacing still...??? they have that quality weight.so take down guys phone number.better check on net.type in info on browser.probably wont get any hits on these never heard of.oh whats this scam.after reading all the stories on these i sure would like to know the history on these ones i saw and where they came from.any way i left them there.however im very confused about the reviews and the reviews of other speakers on this site .peoples opinions vary soooo widely.so although i would never go to the trouble of fixing a beat up pair.if i could find a pair in good condition cheap id have to buy them just to see what theyre really like.

Strength:

punchy bass with silky high end.

Weakness:

look quite 80''s

i was lucky enough to get a pair of ex demo 3311''s. I used these speakers every day from casual listening to the odd party or two. in my opinion if your lucky enough to have the real ones, at high and low volumes they create a very visual and clear effect.

Strength:

Smaller than My disco speakers. Good bass responce. With the know how you can upgrade the xovers and the mid and tops cheaply. has potential to keep up with the big boys with a little work without costing big boy prices.

Weakness:

none except for those that thought they were getting the real thing

I Have read the reviews and the scams. I lstened to them before I purchased them. Good bass Fair mid and tops. No real complaints. After reading the reviews Will insert some good cross overs uprate the tweeters and midrange drivers this will not cost alot. I am under the impression that most of the complaints come from people that thought they were getting the real thing and rely on brand names for status, And not all brand names are good if you look in to them deep enough.
