Strength:

Good bass out of the center. The highs are good, not too tinny.

Weakness:

The unit is somewhat large. If you're going to put it above your TV on your entertainment center, make sure you have a large shelf above the TV.

I got a great deal on Monitor 5's and wanted the center to go with them, but they only had this year's model in the center. They've added a phase plug to the dual drivers. The speaker sounds great! I love the rich quality on DD and DTS soundtracks. James Earl Jones' voice sounds fantastic! It does a good job with the "Unleash Hell" scene in Gladiator (the new benchmark scene for me).

I've used Bose, M&K and B&W. The M&K were THX bookshelf speakers that were outstanding (a friends), the Bose were overpriced and not that great, and the B&W's were in-wall and not impressive for the m

Strength:

Excellent sound clarity and projection. It matches my Monitor 9's up front to a T. Great home theatre experience. Even performs well with casual TV viewing as well. I love it. Dope product. Paid 305.00 Canadian, taxes included. What a deal

Weakness:

None. Superb unit.

Since I've had this baby as my centre, I've been in home theatre heaven. A friend of mine took one listen and went out and grabbed one the next day. Check it out. For the loot I paid, I really have no complaints whatsoever. Sounds great, and will sound even better once broken in.

I have had the CC-350 for about4 months and in that time my enjoyment of home theater has increased 3 fold. I enjoy every aspect of this center, I have been sold on Paradigm, and I doubt if I will change. (that is unless I become rich)

Strength:

natual voice for both male and female

This is a review of my single shielded mini monitor that I am using as center to match my front mini monitors. For every of you who has mini monitor as front and also using cc-350 or cc-170, you are having a center either over perform or under
perform relative to your front mini monitors. I have compared to pair my mini monitor with cc-350, cc-350 is over powering mini monitors, cc-350 is designed to match monitor 7 or monitor 9. Single mini monitor actually present a better imaging than cc-350. It matches perfectly with other two mini monitors. Actually, both THX and Dolby recommend to use identical speakers at front. CC-170 is no match for mini monitors at all. I paid much less than a CC-170 and about half of a cc-350 for my single mini monitor, which is a very good deal. The voice from the mini is very natural, I got best value from these Paradigm speakers.

Strength:

Accurate Sound, Great Imaging, Heavy(=well built), Great Price

Weakness:

You just can't go wrong with Paradigm products, and this is a perfect example. The speaker sounds great, is solid, and can handle whatever you send it. I am anxious to put it to the DVD test.

Strength:

accurate treble and smooth mid- and upper-bass, good bass extension

Weakness:

very slightly recessed midrange

The Export is a great speaker. The overall frequency response is well balanced, though there are some low bass (60-70 Hz) resonances that have been audible in more than one room. The speaker plays louder than I can stand and doesnt seem to present a difficult load to the amplifier.

They are also attractive and don't take up much floor space, however they do require careful positioning.

The bipolar soundfield is very nice, especially for my relatively dead listening room.

Considering I purchased these speakers on closeout for $500 a pair, they are an excellent value as well. Highly recommended.
