Excellent center speaker.Bass response is fast and clean. Mid range is superb, for music as well as dialogue. I am using it with BP 30's for the frontand BPX's for the rears. Kick ass system .

I have had the CLR3000 home for about a month now. It is paired with BP3000's for the mains, BP2000 as surrounds.
The CLR3000 delivers clean, crisp sound. I feel the added bass extension adds a lot more depth and feel to a lot of material. Try the opening monologue from "Payback" for example.

It also plays DTS music with greater detail than I have ever experienced.

Beware: this speaker does draw a very low ohm load (around 1) at certain frequencies check out the spec section of Home Theater's reivew.

I would buy these again and reccommend them to any friend.

Strength:

Awesome Sound Great Highs Mids and Lows. 10" 150w powered sub

Weakness:

Size This thing is huge

This thing is great. I could not belive how strong this thing is. With the center channel responesable for over 50 percent of all sound I wanted one that would handle the load good, but boy this thing does a better than expected job. Best I have ever heard.

Strength:

Full range

Weakness:

BIG, end caps move easily

Amazing speaker, I just love it. I think that a center channel now days should be able to be used as a main speaker. Especially now with dvd audio and multi channel audio formats. This speaker can be used for L/R/C and excel in every way. The speaker is just huge!!!! I knew that going into it but wow!!! It does not fit on top of a plain TV. I have a mitsubishi 40" picture tube tv. Now it does not fit there to well, you must have a entertainment center or a big screen to fit this beast on to. I also own the matching powered rears and the top and bottom caps always come loose or fall off, the same with this speaker. You move it and the end caps move and get all screwed up. Besides all of this I love it.

Strength:

Powered subwoofer...all drivers provide fantastic dialogue
and action capabilities

Weakness:

56 lbs ...had to build a special shelf for this beast to sit

This loudspeaker hasnt even broken in yet, and I can can tell you that it is a keeper. Even if I wanted to get rid of it, I would not look forward to picking it up. I am currently looking at different RPTVs; this speaker would sit nicely on top of some of those, but for a standard TV your only recourse would be to build a very, very sturdy shelf. I did, and it was a pain in the ass.

That inconvience aside, this speaker provides clarity and precision to dialogue and a full sonic assault to action sequences. Amazing how you can hear lips cracking before someone speaks, throatyness of voice, gunshots in your living room.

DefTech's instruction manual describes different wiring
Schemes for this unit; I have the powered sub off my center pre-out, and the mid and high bi-wired. I have to admit I'm a little confused by the benefits of 'bi-wiring' as opposed to using the jumpers. I certainly understand the benefits of bi-AMPing, who doesnt. Can anybody help me out on what bi-wiring does for me?

Anyway, another superb product by these guys, I have their PF15TL+ subwoofer, and I am quite pleased with it as well.
If you pick one of these up, you cant go wrong - it might even give you incentive to get to the GYM and off the couch.

After reviewing several old DVD's with the new DefTech CLR, I must say that though impressed with the low end response, I was somewhat unimpressed with its speech reproduction abilities. I really had to crank it to hear subtle conversations where there had been no need before with the previous center channel. Perhaps an LFE input on the CLR would help to keep the big powered 10 from overwhelming the dialogue. Still tickled with my 2004s, though.
