Recently purchased a pair fabricated in 2004. I was aware of the speaker and excellent reputation of Spendor. I was extremely pleased when I began listening to them. Very Uncolored and natural. Acoustic music and vocals sound absolutely present. These are the most enjoyable speakers I have owned. They sound incredible with the NAD d3020, I am looking forward to hearing them with a more substantial amplifier.

Only weakness is I need to upgrade my home made stands to some nicer metal stands.

The best speakers I have owned and they are severely under the radar among the audiophile crowd. I compared these to some Harbeth C7es3s and the Harbeths have nothing on these Spendors. I suppose the $600 price gap is possibly for this reason.

If you want a speaker that conveys the body and soul of the music, these are hard to beat. The microdynamics and subtleties are stunning.

Also, the veneer finish and build quality is first rate. They have perfectly matched veneers with zero flaws...no sloppy corners here.

I have finally found a pair of speakers that simply sound correct, with no unnecessary forwardness or detail at the expense of glaring fatigue. Don't discount these speakers for their humble appearance, they are well worth the cost.
