To review this, I must turn back the clock to 1991 when I was doing my first year of University. Not that a student could afford a speaker like this ($1800 New!)........I simply Demo this against a pair of Kef C10 and the sound just never left my mind even though reluctantly I bought the Kef as they were cheap and went well with my Kenwood Intergrated amp and Rotel speakers........

Now 2010, going through Trademe two months ago, I came across a pair of second hand Super Tablettes........And yes, I bought them. I also managed to buy a pair of dedicated Sound Creation speaker stands specially made for the Super Tablettes.......What Luck!!!

I use Naim Nac 62 and Nap 140 with Linn Axis on Roksan Chorus Black Cartridge. The sound is clean and clear. Listening to Kate Bush's "Rubber Band Girl" Kate bush's voice was strong and dirty.......Just the way I like it. Sound stage was very open and the same when I changed Lp to the Best of Police. Sting's voice was so clear, you could hear every breath he takes during each song.

Only Drawback is that Base is not too deep, but never the less enjoyable. This is a trait which resides in all Proac Tablettes, even the latest 8 and the legendary 1sc or the 2000.

But comparing the Super Tablette with the 1sc, 50 or 2000......These can now be picked up for as little as $350. You will still need to pay a handsome $1000 for a pair of Proac 1sc, even though they sound slightly crisper and clearer that the Super Tablette.......Do your own Maths. Get a pair now, you are a fool to pass on a pair of these!!!!!! But be sure to partner them with good Amplifier (Pre/ Power) as they are for serious system only.
