Strength:

Great imaging, detail and soundstage. Lot's of bass from a bookshelves spk.

Weakness:

Errr....got lot's of complain from neighbours.

All i can say is I love this speaker. Originally bought Atom first but the speaker is too small for my listening room. Later change it to Mini Monitor and what an imporvement. The sound is detail and accurate. What soundstaging they have!!! Although they are small, but i do not find them lack in bass.In fact, the bass part is quite good. The sound is also very dynamic. For this price, i don't think i can get better sound (maybe). Highly recommended!!!

I've read a lots (goods/bad) thing about this little speakers, but i don'thave much $$$ at the time. Now, I've a new house i try to build a good
stereo & HT for it, so i diceded to give the Mini a try, "stuning" the sound
is as good as the Studio 20 (i know someone will tell me to clean my ears :)
that is because the Mini was driving by the McIntosh AMP and a TUPE pre-Amp
and the Studio 20 was driving by the NAD amp (don't recall the number).

To my ears the Mini has a very good image and low freq. (read it BASS), but
it don't have the mid-rang like the Studio 20 or the 7se (i own one too).

so for those who said that the Mini is not musical try to change the AMP or/
and Pre-Amp and see the different.

For me is a stell at $245CAN/pr.

I've had my MiniMk3's for over a year now and can't imagine a much betterdeal in audio. The midrange is smooth, the highs are never fatiguing
(although a bit "soft"), and the bass is quite good considering it's size.
I can't think of any speaker that performs better in it's price class.
An excellent buy!

I will be short and to the point, these speakers are fabulous. They have wonderful range and sound great with all types of music.
I previously owned Polk Monitor 10's (which I love) and these make them sound flat in comparison.

You would or will never know by the sound that they are a bookshelf speaker.

I've owned my miniMKIII's for over a year. They are amazing for the price. They are much, much, better after replacing the stock binding posts with Cardas posts. I also re-wired them with Audioquest cable. Those two modifications made these speakers sound more like ProAc than Paradigm. Any one that owns a pair should try this relatively cheap modification.

These newly intoduced speakers replace the old MiniMKIIIs. These speakers have all the good qualities from MKIIIs and sound sharper in the mids and highs.

Strength:

Great sound and imaging

Weakness:

Nobody's convinced me...but they do sound great with a sub.

I bought the Mini monitors to use for both music and HT. I am more than happy with the music that these speakers make. I am only using them for cd's now and I have just hooked up and "dialed" in my sub. (NHT SW2PI) What a great match! I can't tell you that "they are better than any speaker at 2X the price or

Strength:

We have a very small apartment and had to get a pair of appropriately sized speakers. The only requirements were that they would be small, sound good for both music and home theater, be able to do without a sub, and wouldn't have to be tossed as our space and budgetary needs progress. Based on all the comments here and listening to some Titans, Monitor 3s as well as other small speakers, I ordered a pair of these.

Weakness:

I wanted the dark cherry but realized I needed the shielding which only comes in the black.

All I can say is that we watched the Aliens DVD the other night and were astounded as to how clear the soundtrack was and and how much bass these little suckers pumped out. Overall, this is a great pair of speakers...so much so that I'm thinking of taking a 7 hour roadtrip to Canada to pick up another pair to avoid paying list price again.

I'm putting my two cents in because I love these speakers. I've addeda Paradigm PDR-10 Sub-Woofer and that's why I rate 5 stars. Without the sub
I'd say four. I suspect that if I added a second sub and bi-amped, the
results would be stunning.

I'm a Paradigm fan (also own Atoms and PDR-8), so when I saw a brand new pair of Mini-Monitors for $250 I had to reach deep into my shallow pocket and purchase it. I have not been disappointed. It provides more than adequate punch for a large bedroom or a decent-sized living room. It plays well with my NAD 304 for music and I'd expect good performance for home theater also. I'm entertaining the possibility of getting an inexpensive HT receiver, so let me know what y'all think.
