Strength:

This speaker sounds really clear, and when I turn it up loud the base is so strong that it can shake my ding dong from across the room.

Weakness:

None.

These speakers are extremely clear, no distortion no matter how loud I turn them up. I can not believe how good they sound!

Strength:

SB-3's are awesome, the bass is great the midrange is clear no matter what volume and the highs are exceptional.

Weakness:

None, i have yet to make these speakers distort. Using a Yamaha amp and 10 gauge Original Monster Cable these speakers just sound undescribably great. And for movies you cant get a better speaker.

I just got these speakers for my birthday. B4 getting them i had the Sb-2's which i liked alot. Originally i was supposed to get the 2's but they werent going to be shipped to the store till the end of the month so a guy at tweeter let me borrow the floor models. Well i had them for about 2 weeks and I got pretty used to how good they sound. But, On my birthday we brought back the floor models and got the SB-3's which rock like no other. I have never been more happy with a speaker in my life. The bass i would say is the biggest difference between the 2's and the 3's. The 3's punch out bass and have a great dynamic range. They definitely dont sound like a bookshelf speaker, they sound more like a screaming guitar or a pounding drum and cymbals. You just cant beat them for the price. But if you really dont want to spend the money to buy these great speakers at least buy the SB-2's which at a hundred dollars cheaper are really a great deal.

Strength:

CLARITY, strong bass for a bookshelf speakers, nice treble. I dont think it's possible to blow these out.

Weakness:

none

I was searching for a smalle sized pair of bookshelf speakers possibly paired with a subwoofer, and i was comparing all the main brands: Polk, Boston Acoustics, infinity.. etc etc. When i landed on klipsch my whole view changed on what i wanted. After i heard how loud these things can crank without losing any clarity what so ever, i had to have them. These are the most efficient speakers i have ever listened to. Bass lines are tight but defined, treble is crisp, and the midrange is well heard and open.

Strength:

crystal clear sound, power(94dB), bass/med/high accuracy, voice reproduction! (male/female both are GOOD), ratio SOUND-QUALITY/PRICE! -> impossible to beat him!

Weakness:

no klipsch logo under the revovable grill..the black ash vinyl veneer finition can look cheap but it'snt any repercution on the sound quality... maybe break-in time if your consider that for a default...

i bought this speakers for replaced my old Chartwell LS3/5A, to be honest i was disapointed when i began to listen my new SB-3...God! bass were muffled, high sounded like they were played by junk speaker...but after 40hour of break-in time they began to sound GREAT! and After 100hour they had out passed my LS3/5A! bass are now incredible! medium are a good presence and high are incredible. The overall sound is crystal clear the bass have punch and high recall live sound! so be patient and break them before to judge their sound!

Strength:

Everything - Bass, Mids, Highs, Price.

Weakness:

None

Overall great speakers. Hard to do better without spending twice the money. Considered the SF1B, SF2B, RF3II, Definitive Technology, Mirage and Boston VR line. I chose this speaker over the other the Mirage, Boston and other Klipsch models without considering price. Considering the price (the lowest price of the bunch) made the decision easy. The other Klipsch products had great bass response but seemed a bit bright while lacking in the midrange area. The Bostons seemed stronger (a bit too strong IMO) for midrange, decent for highs, and a bit weak on bass. The Bostons seemed ideal for voice reproduction; perhaps well suited to a dedicated home theater installation. While Def Tech makes some great products, plan on spending considerably more $$ to outperform these speakers.

Strength:

Clarity, clarity, clarity. Of course they are powerful sounding speakers but don''t confuse with CV, thats all CV is.

Weakness:

Veneer finish, had a small strip coming unglued but fixed it. Also wish Klipsch logo was on cabinet.

Absolutely great sounding speakers. I was suprised at how much I had been missing, as I have used atleast decent speakers before.

Clarity, highs and lows

Weakness:

None to mention

I bought the SB3''s to replace a set of JBL''s I had. All I can say is what a nice product. Hands down the Klipsch is a superior product. These speakers for the size and price are simply unmatched. Sure there are better speakers, but with them comes a much larger price and usually a much larger speaker. For size, money and overall sound, these speakers powered with a descent receiver will prove to be among the best.

Strength:

Incredible sound quality and range. Perfect for all types of listening.

Weakness:

None.

I puchased these along with the new SC-1 center, and I am astounded by the overall quality of these speakers. I have them hooked up to a Sony DE935 receiver. I am planning to buy two more to replace my rear surrounds. The system I had before was a Polk RM7300, and the Klipsch speakers blew the Polks out of the water. It would be silly to even try and compare them. I have them set up in a fairly small room, and they still sound great. I was looking at other speakers and their class (B&W, NHT, ect...) and none of them could do it all as good as these. Movies are awsome, I just buy DVDs and skip going to the movies now. Music is wonderful. I've tried all sorts of genres, and it all sounds great, and very natural. I can't say enough good thing about these speakers. Out of 5 stars, these new speakers get a 10.
