Strength:

I run these with the Cresta 2 using an older 2 channel Onkyo I am delighted every time I turn this system on. The clarity is outstanding I’m consistently hearing instruments that I’ve never heard from other systems. Any decent audiophile amplifier should make these speakers perform. The clarity and musicality is superb.

Weakness:

Since the crossovers are different in the Cresta 1 and Cresta 2 by themselves lack some midrange but together they fill any void. I recently bought a second set of Cresta 1 for back up. The bass porting is excellent and shouldn’t need a sub unless you like a preponderance of bass in your music.

Strength:

Size, Looks, overall sound

Weakness:

Non at the price

Bought these for my Dad to rig up to his TV, and to run from the TVs internal amp. They sound great, nice top end, clear vocals, and enough punch from the bass driver. Before I gave them to my Dad I tried them with my own Audiolab/Tag Mclaren/Rotel system and I could not complain about these great little Kefs performance.
