Strength:

Cheap Price

Weakness:

Bad sound

I have not bought this speaker because I have once listened it from a A/V shop and feel that its sound is bad. That shop was playing the dts version of EAGLE's hotel california and the treble is very unclear. And then, I requested the salesman to play the same song by using B&W 602S, A strong contrast immediately came out. Although 602s2's treble is also not very good, but compare it with the crappy N28, good and bad were immediately distinguished.
At that day, the salesman also demo the Saving private ryan, the sound from N28 was very loud but you would not be pleased by it because you would feel it is not a dynamic sound but NOISE.

I give 3 stars in value rating because its price is really inexpense.
I give 2 stars in overall rating because its size make you feel its sound is good, but its size to its performance is just a contrary.

Strength:

clarity, crisp sound

Weakness:

nothing except a little light on bass

I'm very satisfied with these speakers. They're well constructed speakers and good quality. I use these for a 2-channel system hooked up to a Yamaha receiver. The sound quality was very rich. The Yamaha-JBL combo producee a very clear and crisp sound, especially when the music becomes high.

Strength:

Powerful Sound, great quality, no matter what type of music playing great sounds and aucostics

Weakness:

None

I purchased these speakers based on their quality reputation from that of friends who either use them personally or have JBL speakers for their band. And since I got them they have sounded great during all types of music, from Metallica to Al Green. It is true they are good looking speakers, but I love music so the sound is what counts for me. I live in a dorm presently and these speakers blast through my room and totally down the hall.

Strength:

Clear Mid and High, sufficient bass

Weakness:

If you like bass, you will need a woofer

All I know is that I went to about five or six different stores and listened to mostly tower speakers and these sounded the best for the price. I listened to $500 speakers that sounded worse than these. I bought mine for $150 each at Best Buy (probably not the best deal I could have gotten, but I am too impatient to hunt for the deal). I already had a subwoofer, so I wasn't looking for a huge bass sound anyways, so these were the perfect selection for me. I just love the clarity of these speakers. This is a good speaker for someone who can't afford the extremely nice ones, but wants at least a decent quality.
