Strength:

Just sounds great. Quite heavier than it looks and the grill is not removable. Using with an Atmos capable Denon in a 5.2.2 configuration. Dialogue is always spot on. No more of the what did he/she say. The Canton CD360F just works. I was using a huge center channel before this that must’ve weighed 50 lbs which was a MTM 2 way setup from a quite popular brand with 6” woofers and I worried that anything below 100hz might be strained with the Canton but worry not. This is the most clear and precise center speaker I’ve used. I couldn’t be more pleased. The makers obviously know what they’re doing. My first ever real center was a Bose, sorry they sound good to me, vcs-100 and it was what I’ll call very detailed but I was afraid I was missing something below 100hz as the drivers were 4” or 2” maybe even I can’t remember so I went through several “bigger” center speakers which all performed okay but weren’t as detailed as even the Bose was really. I digress after picking up the Canton I was completely blown away. It was more detailed than the Bose and fuller than the Polk Audio, Jbl, Pioneer, Phase Tech(another goodie) that had been I service since the Bose retired. I’m no audiophile so please don’t think I’m trying to sound like one but the Canton checks all the boxes for me. Dialogue sounds as if you’re in the room with whomever is speaking. Also other sounds, tall grass scraping against John Marston’s legs in the video game masterpiece Red Dead Redemption and other effect sounds I’d call them are very detailed and present. I’m sure there are better speakers out there and trust me I hope to try every last one of them but this Canton has remained in service as a dedicated center speaker longer than any other piece of home theater equipment I have ever used. I do t think you’ll be disappointed if you try one out.

Weakness:

No weaknesses that I can think of. Even whispers come through loud and clear.
