Strength:

Stylish, intuitive design and controls on main unit, lightweight, arm band feature good for active lifestyles.

Weakness:

Lousy headphones, LCD would drain batteries faster, poor-ish ergonomics on remote.

Bought one of the 32Mb versions refurbished/used for a measly $50. Too cool on style points. Everyone wonders what it is. Controls are no-frills, the rubber pad can be operated in the dark or while on the move once you learn the positions. Came with a set of Nike folding headphones which are really cheap on sound quality; I'd get better sound using a Dixie cup and a string. The only display is an LCD on the remote, but IMHO when you're running or exercising, who has time to look at the remote? Also the remote's buttons (or rather "horn ring") are too small for gloved hands or fat fingers.

Strength:

The rubberized texture is great when you're sweating and it aid in its' survivibility when dropped (7 or 8 times ao far). It has a nice look. The features are great. It display the song title and artist. The remote is one of its' best features.

Weakness:

The belt/ pocket clip is nice, however, being made of such a smooth non-clipping material it slips off your belt or pocket. And I think Nike is asking a little too much from only one battery.

This is my second MP3 player (RCA KAZOO). This one (PSA 120) has a list of features that are superior to the RCA and my friend's RIO 800. 1) I've dropped it several times while jogging or walking (see weaknesses). With 128mb of memory(interior & exterior) I,m still listening to the 103 files I originally put on the player two months ago. The non-slip texture of this unit feel great and it fit in the plam of my hand very well.

Strength:

Armband for jogging, sound quality is good stylish design

Weakness:

the machine is forever having to be fixed, the remote is useless, oor quality housing

This thing is great when it works--which is only about 20% of the time. I have spent more time fooling with the battery while running than actually listening to music. The outer casing broke. Silver part scratched. Headphones are nice. Software sucks but music does download to the unit pretty quick. I wouldnt pay the money again.

Strength:

Light and excellent size for running and working out.

Weakness:

Quality.

I really enjoy this unit when running. Just what I was looking for, but after about a month it took a dump!!! I tried to erase the memory and reload some new music but could not get the old stored music to erase. Really disappointed now I have to deal with having it repaired. Up to this point I would have given it a great rating but now it will not even play at all.

Strength:

Great features, easy to use, simple set-up

Weakness:

No custom eq. to change bass/treble

If you are looking for a lightweight mp3 player to use at the gym or run with, this is your only choice. Great features, ease of use and simple set-up makes this a winner.

Strength:

quality playback, WMA compatible, battery life, USB, styling

Weakness:

scratches easily, free WMA encoder from MS not good enough, downsamples MP3's over 128kps, shockingly cheap looking in real life, slightly pricey(!), terrible headphones, leads are a bit short

Guess the above says it all. I prefer WMA's to MP3's and it plays them brilliantly. Using encoder from x-filez - WMA's sound MUCH better. Have to pay though.
The trouble with Nike products is that they look good from a distance but on close up the finish is not really up to scratch. Beware the silver pearl paintwork scratches off easily. Battery life is good, though. Other niggles include slightly useless beltclip - does not clip very well. USB transfers are very fast. You cannot change the order of the tracks once inside the player. Recommended, if you can stomach the cost.

Follow up to my review below: I have just got a new Sony CD Walkman and found the bundled headphones to be much worse than the Nike psa's, which seem to have gotten more comfortable the more I wore them.

Battery life can be weird though, so beware. You cannot move tracks around once downloaded to the player. Very silly.

Lastly, I found properly encoded WMA's sound better than original tracks played through the CD Walkman(!). Waiting for v8.0 of WMA codec.

Strength:

Very small in size, very light, never skips, battery life is decent (around 10 hours), arm band is a nice touch, ideal for jogging/running/etc

Weakness:

outer surface does scratch easily although not disfiguring by any means, can't move tracks around once on player, litle pricey, stock headphones are borderline in sound quality

If you can stomach the cost of this thing then it is a quality purchase. Ideal for those in motion sports (running/blading/boxing/etc). Arm band keeps player firmly attached to you yet out of the way. Remote is more eye candy than useful (player can be used without it). Diamond Rio did a good job designing this for Nike (although the cost reflects the design). If for no other reason this thing looks cool as all heck on your arm at the gym. I've had over 2 dozen people ask me what this thing was and I usually get a response of "Wow". If size and weight are not important to you then you might be better off with another cheaper MP3 player

Strength:

Very stylish, perfectly made for anyone who will use it for its main purpose, sports. Both MP3 and WMA playback is as clear as it gets.

Weakness:

No LCD on the actual player, just on the remote.

There's no doubt that the psa[play 120 is the most 'street cool' mp3 portable around and the most useful to anyone who wants to use this mp3 player for its actual purpose, sports. It has a nice smooth, rubber exterior, a remote with the diplay of track name and time and slick plastick earphones which you can fold. The mp3 and wma playback is just as clear as the rio 600.
The only bad thing about this mp3 player is the fact that if you want to operate the player without the remote cotrol you have no display and you will have to preform a 'blind' operation to play your music.
