Strength:

The audio is good (both mp3 and vcd modes) and battery lasts for 4-5 hours. Good thing it comes with recheargeable Ni-Mh batteries. Also charger is small and international (110-200V)

Weakness:

VCD drops frames severely. Cannot watch a movie without intermitted playback. There is no smoothing of the signal and so the output is too pixelated and blotchy. Worse, after losing many frames, especially in fast moving video, the whole screen occasionally becomes impossible to watch due to the accumulation of noise. Fortunastely there is a workaround: When this happens, pause and restart. This seems to correct the problem of noise. However, there is nothing one can do with the loss of frames. Another problem is if you disengage the charger while the machine plays, it will reset and so if you happen to watch a movie, too bad; you have to restart. Also annoying: PAL is always the default for VCD so if you are watching video on an NTSC TV, you have to switch everytime

This is a mediocre product both as an audio and as a video player
