Strength:

Esp2 is solid. Pretty easy on batteries. Light! Reads even horribly scratched CDs effortlessly.

Weakness:

None, except for the drain on the batteries with the Esp2 on.

My Cd palyer is the newer revised version of the E-441 (now called E-451.) This is the best CD player I have ever owned. It kicks so much butt it is not funny. If you read my review on the D-191; the E-451 stands not just head & shoulders above the D-191, but 10 Sears towers above it. While I paid a good sized chunk of cash for mine, you can still buy this model for around $25-$40 depending where you shop. If you don't have much cash and need/want a good CD player get this one you want regret it.

PS. WWF fans, if you use the groove bass on HHH's theme from WWF the Music 4. It sounds like it does in the arena and live shows. Be careful not to blow the headphones.

Strength:

Groove sounds awesome on 80% of the tunes i've listened to, and if it plays up you can just switch to Mega-Bass.

The Groove earphones are good also, unlike sony's normal bud earphones.

Weakness:

The bass distorts on Groove, but there's always mega-bass.

This is the first Sony discman i've ever bought and I must say i've been impressed :) After constant use it still plays like it's brand new and the ESP works great.

The Groove earphones perform so much better then the normal sony bud earphones in it's class. The bass is alot fatter and the treble is nice and clear. Unfourtunately the sound option groove amplifies the bass a bit too high and it starts to distort at high volumes but you can just switch back to normal bass.

It has played all the various cds i've frown at it and see's right past minor scratches.

It's a SONY!

Strength:

Lightweight

Weakness:

On Groove, it distorts at high levels. To make this lightweight they use a cheaper plastic.

First one I bought did not work and I returned it for a new one. I have been using this for about 9 months, and it just
stopped recognizing the disc and responds with NO DISC.... Any disc that I use. Thats 2 I have owned which lasted me less than a year combined. Generally Sony's have always been good, including the cassette players, and the radio headphones. This has really been the first product I have bought that didn't last a long time.

Strength:

none really

Weakness:

doesnt accept 60%of my cds and doesnt start and when theres dust on the cd it stops and makes wierd noises unlike my other cd players

I would never buy this product ( I think this is the same cd player as I got) Again. It is completly junk! it lasted 1 year at the most. And this product should bet aken back to sony and redesigned to work better.

Strength:

Groove Dass, Mega Bass and normal bass.
Light weight, good sound.
durable.
good esp2

Weakness:

None really except esp2 doesnt stop all skipping

Good Discman. Cheep, Pretty durable and good looking
all though I did drop it while it was open and it only plays in the left ear at some volumes. But im listening to it now.
Sony could though make it a little more durable as there ae many plastic parts inside.

Strength:

Light, compact, cheap.

Weakness:

ESP (anti-skip) function isn't that good as I thought it would be.

This Cd player is compact and very light. Its my third portable CD player (Panasonic, Audiophase) and this is the best one. The only weak point is that when I shake the player it would turn off. The ESP function isn't as good as the Anti-Skip functions i have on my other Portable Players
