Strength:

if you are a fan of rap music this is the cdplayer for you.

Weakness:

just about everything

ok, this player sucks and im gonna tell you why. i bought this peice of garbage in like, september '98 and already it is broken. i never dropped it ,used it for all normal purposes, also it is totally geared at listening to rap music... damned wiggers, "groove" my ass... this setting makes music sound like noise, the way rappers like it. 160 dollars is way to high a price for this peice of garb, what do they think they are selling here, shiny plastic clothing and puffy coats priced at $200, so that suburban whitey can be cool too and dress in the ugly poo poo the rappers sport in music videos?

ok, thats all i have to say. oh, and the car kit didnt work in my car, also the headphones broke, literally in under a week, the cheapest headphones i have ever seen that are included w/ a music player, and we all know how cheap they are.
im sick, i have to go, ugh

I have used this CD player to be a very good unit. The features it has make it very user friendly and very versatile. The bass boost is good, but I find the Groove feature to be a bit excesive on many of the headphones I have used. The anti-skip feature is great. With it turned on, I haven't found anything that can make it skip. Also, the volume limiter is great for early morning listening on the bus when I really don't want to accidentally turn it up too far. Having the car kit come with it has come in handy also.

Strength:

cheap... bought it for 80 bucks at sears

Weakness:

the case scuffs easily ... the clam shell case is covered in scuffs and scratches, sony must have used the softest plastic in human history to design this thing

it fell out of my car once at 35 mph, when i was going through one of those damn traffic circles in NJ ... i pulled off to the side, picked her up, plugged her back in and she worked perfectly ... the only reason i bought this thing was that i wanted to play cd's in my car but was too cheap to buy a new car sound system ...the best 80 bucks that i spent but it's quality can't justify the normal 175.00 list price.

Weakness:

Breaks easy; "Groove" function distorts ALL new music

I've had this for one year now, and it has already broken...I started having problems with it right away: The CD would reset, if I touched the lid in a certain way...Now, the buttons on the front panel won't work. Additionally, the "groove" simply distorts any new music (sounds ok on some old 80s discs, with minimal bass)...DO NOT buy this CD player...I'm going to pick up a new Aiwa today, and hopefully that will last longer, and not give me any more headaches!!!
