Strength:

Very good CD sound quality.

Weakness:

Anti-skip circuit may prevent a manually selected track from being located. In this case, turn off the anti-skip circuit!

Very good CD sound. I compared it to the SONY DF20 and the Panasonic SL-SX289V. On CDs,the SONY sounded marginally better than the Panasonic but the Aiwa blew away the SONY on CD. The SONY tuner was more sensitive than either of the other two (but doesn''t play CD-RWs).The Aiwa and Panasonic tuners are not very sensitive. The Aiwa tuner doesn''t stop on any station in the search mode (I live in an area with strong FM radio signals). You must manually select the station before entering it in memory. When playing CD-R''s or -RW''s, sometimes you must turn off the anti-skip circuit or the player locks up ''hunting'' for the track you selected and does''t start playing the track! This is true of the Panasonic also.
