CD's play well while carrying the system. Great if you are moving around quite a bit. Overall good sound, see below...

The overall design, a'60's retro futuristic look is goofy. Listening to CDs at a low volume, you can hear the disc spinning, which is really annoying. The bass is not nearly enough.

I was looking for a portable CD player that takes up less space than a shelf unit, with equal quality. No need for a tape deck, it is the year 2003 afterall.
