I live down in a valley and have always had problems with FM reception. I have tried ever indoor antenna imaginable with little success. I finally broke down and bought one more antenna, the ST-2. I have it temporarily standing upright in a corner of my living room. This really is a major improvement over anything else I have tried. Many stations I could only pick up in mono now come in clear and strong in stereo. I recommend this highly to anyone in a poor reception area.

Strength:

Improves reception dramatically, non-intrusive appearance

Weakness:

none

This is an exceptional piece of audio equipment, and well worth the $85 retail price. The ST-2 is a whip antennae attached to a fist-sized cylindrical module, with a 25' coax cable. I've attached my ST-2 to the outside of my house near the peak of the roof (above a third story window), and my reception (on a Magnum-Dynalab FT-101A) is stellar. If you are considering using a dipole (that cheap piece of wire that comes with most tuners) or an interior antennae (such as the Terk), do yourself a big favor and get an ST-2 (even if you use it indoors). Very highly recommended!
