Strength:

Excellent sound, styling and build quality

Weakness:

weak remote control, not really a "mini" system

Probably the most beautiful system i've ever seen. it looks okay in the shop, but amazing in my house, the build quality is rock solid, even the remote control. This can hardly be called a mini system, it is as heavy and almost as big as a separates system.
For me, the sound is excellent, the vocals are well presented, instruments are clear and well separated, bass is deep and well defined. My system is with the MD and is hooked up currently to a pair of KEF coda 7se speakers with biwired cable. The kefs are small, cute, but with a high sensitivity of 91 db and extremely impressive bass response for such small speakers. The whole system can play at ear busting sound levels, with the tone controls at flat, while maintaining excellent, unstrained sound quality, but a powerful subwoofer will be added to add some house shaking bass. The system has probably all the features i could need, including a comprehensive rds system and excellent front loading cassette with record level and level meter. The only features missing are digital record level for optical recording on to MD, and some functions of the cd player (such as search) are only accessible on the remote (which i think is a bit silly, seeing the size of the cd player!).
Now for my gripes! The remote control (not supplied with batteries) is a bit weak and very direction sensitive, the control of the volume with the remote is VERY sensitive, a nuisance for late night listening, no digital record level for optical recordings, and i thought the price was a bit steep for a mini system - but this is not true since the sound can compare with similarly priced separates and the build and styling definately exceeds them, with the added bonus of an all in one system. The teac 500 is also better sounding, more powerful and cheaper than equivalents from denon, sony, onkyo, etc.. Overall, the system should not be compared with mini systems, but with similarly priced separates - i would give 4.5 for value due to my gripes, but definately 5 for sound and build.

Strength:

Great Sound, 50wpc (rare for mini system).

Weakness:

No LCD panel for A-H500, feature.

I bought the set of amplifier (a-h500), cd player, and tuner.
I connected this system to Mission 771e speakers. (same as d-f100)
The sound is so great. Better than denon d-f100. It has more detail sound.

Strength:

Design, well built, dynamic rich sound, much detaill.

Weakness:

None

When I first listened to this set, I was f***ing amazed.
I never expected this sound from a set this cheap.
I've connected this set to a pair of the Tannoy M2's, and also purchased two pairs of Van de Hul interlinks.
I've got totally no complains with this set.

Strength:

Separate circuit between left and right channel (like some high end amp). Good sound staging, good sound quality. If you use good cables and speakers, you can feel that it looks like someone is singing in front of you.

Weakness:

There is a click when changing the source (ex:CD to Tuner).
You also have to buy the tuner to get full function (like sleep, dimmer, etc).

This system is excelent.
