Sound - It is rich with alot of bass.
Gets pretty loud for a smaller stereo.
I could not beat the price.
Still looks like new.

The tape eject door cover falls off because someone carlessly tossed it into a dumpster! They could have set it in the dumpster gently!
No Remote - Went back to see if I could find it in the dumpster, to no avail.
The CD player is limited to only 3 cd's at a time, 200 cd's would be nice.

I was digging in a dumpster for scrap lumber on a construction site and I saw this cool looking speaker off to my left. I moved some lawn refuse bags and there she was
- a nice lookig Sharp CD- XP500 stereo and speakers. I figured it was probably in need of repair, maybe a fuse or something. I figured the speakers would be fine though. Took her home and fired her up and everything works... could not believe it. The sound is great with alot of bass. The CD player and am-fm radio works great. I did not bother with the tape players. I guessed some kids stole it and got scared and dumped it. When I shut it off by pushing the power button it flashed " Hello, Hello , Hello and leds flashed all over the place in random like it was possed or something. It would turn back on when I pressed the power button and function normally, but will not power down to a power off condtion. That must be why someone tossed it illegally in a construction dumpster. You have to unplug it to get it to turn off. Not a problem for me, I will use it in my garage. Thank-you who ever tossed it!!!
