Philips FW358C Mini Systems

Philips FW358C Mini Systems

DESCRIPTION

Pros: Surround sound (only four speakers) works a treat and the preset equaliser settings are good, despite there only being four. The CD changer is fast and takes good care of your discs. Heaps of radio presets are good for places with heaps of stations. Speakers are crisp and clear, bass a little muddy. Cons: The amp is weaker than water. It starts to distort at about 10 watts RMS, whereas the manufacturer claims 25 per channel. The tape decks are so bad its not funny. The tuner doesn't pull in distant stations, it pulls itself. If you connect a sub to the sub output and a computer / TV to the aux in, the hum just about screws your sub. Conclusion: Excellent ergonomics adn features can't disguise a heap of a system. Two stars.
