Weakness:

THEIR IS NO QUIK DISCONNECT FROM THE BACK OF SPEAKERS FOR EASY CABLE UPGRADE.

GOOD MINI SYSTEM FOR PRICE. ALOT OF POWER AND CAN GET REALLY LOUD.HAS A SUB OUTPUT FOR A POWERED SUB LIKE A 10"SUB FROM CERWIN-VEGA! WICH WOULD KNOCK YOU OFF YOUR FEET HOOKED UP TO THIS SYSTEM.I WOULD BUY THIS MINI THAN ANY OTHER IN ITS PRICE RANGE.VERY GOOD 5 STARS.RECOMMENED

Strength:

Nice amp, decent 4-way speakers,S.A bass makes it sound a little better.

Weakness:

CD player is very bad, only 85db dynamic range;hights don't sound like they should.

I am disapointed with the cd player,it's amaizing how the mp3's on my PC sounds a lot better(using AUX input and a crappy Yamaha sound card).
With the cd player the voices sound dull and boxy, but with an good external source(MD player) the sound opens up.
It's easy to install a sub,and if you have the money i recommend to buy one.A good MD player might be nice since you can record a CD on the MD using the digital out, therefor bypassing the internal dac.
The amp is strong(75W rms) and has very little distorsion.
Nothing to say about the tuner, just change the suplied antena.
In conclusion i would say it has good overall sound, actualy very good for the money so i'm giving it 5 stars for value and 3.5 stars for overall
P.S:if you use it as an amp try to change the speakers with SONY SS-MF315 speakers(only 100$/pair)

Strength:

Very high power. can hook up to mixer and become DJ equipment. aux in/out. Sub out. High bass. looks. easy to replace speakers. E.g. woofer, mid high.

Weakness:

Cone mid and tweeter. Cheap ceramic surround tweeter hidden behind dome. CD trays take long time to open.

The JVC brand was my reason for getting this system. I am dissapinted by the cone mid and tweeter. I can't use the JVC speakers anymore, anyway, because one of my woofer blew, from my friend punching it, and my mids (BOTH) blew!!!! cant find one to replace. I called JVC and sell you a wholw new speaker systaem (one speaker) for about $100. The rolling panel is good for DJing, and I like how the CD tray locks (by stopping cd and holding stop button and the eject button. To unlock do again, or unplug if you forget.)
