Strength:

Seemed to have many features. I bought it for my bedroom.

Weakness:

Boomy sound, flashing display, poor build quality.

I had the same problem with the CD player that the others have reported. After about a year, the changer would keep spinning to the next position because it couldn't detect the disc. Add to that a highly colored sound, useless equalizer presets and a very garish appearance and you have the total package - a poorly constructed piece of garbage for the Wal-Mart set. Mine found a fitting home in the garbage. Modern Aiwa minisystems look even worse, with bright silvery paint and even more vivid displays.

If you must have a bedroom set, consider a set of B&W 302's or PSB Alphas connected to a small NAD or Rotel receiver and any decent CD player. You would have a genuinely musical system that would provide years of happiness.

i bought the system 6 months ago... at first it sounded nice.. very nice in fact... provides sound like what you would expect from a minisystem.. lots of bass and treble, exceptionally POOR TRANSPARENCY... but i can live with these in mind. then came the problems.. IT CANNOT READ MY CDS.. AND THE TAPE DECKS LIKE TO EAT TAPES.. WWBY THAT I MEAN PUT IN YOUR FAVORITE TAPE AND NEXT THING YOU KNOW IT DOESNT WANT TO PUT IT BACK... I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO STRESS THE THING BOUT THE CD PLAYER.. IT DEFINITELY SUCKS... PEOPLE AT AIWA OUGHT TO BE IN JAIL, THEY ARE RIGGING THE CUSTOMERS BIGTIME... THE CD PLAYER JSUT DOESNT WORK.. I BROUGHT MINE TO THE REPAIR STORE BOUT TWICE AND SPENT SO MUCH MONEY HAVING IT REPAIRED!!!!!!! i would give the system hmmm... a negative stars for poor build, if it wasnt for the average sound, i would have given it a negative 10, so be content with a negative 5
