Strength:

Great price. Paid 185. canadian for it. Very good picture for a VCR under $200. Fantastic remote.

Weakness:

None so far.

The VCR is on its way out within 2-3 years. Recordable DVDs will replace it eventually but for the moment, I find that there are only a few decent VCRs and this Sony is one of them. It's not built in Japan anymore but it's also not made in China, where most of todays' VCRs are made. They might sell for less than the Sony but you get a whole lot less in return too. You get what you pay for.
