The Sava29 is one sexy looking system. The front speakers are tall, sleek and slender; it looks quite intimidating actually. The love affair comes to an abrupt halt, unfortunately, as soon as you turn on these suckers.
Horrible bass, and I mean bad. I think the system was meant to have a "tight" bass, but they went to far, resulting in painful listening. Equally bad is the treble at volumes higher than 10. A lot of hissing from the surround speakers.

Another negative aspect is the absense of an am/fm receiver. You would think that for the high price, they'd at least put in a cheap one. It does have various inputs and outputs and whatnot. It also has a good remote. Wow, I actually wrote something positive about this unit.

Thank goodness I was able to get a refund. Perhaps I am being to critical, but for $500 and for it being a SONY, I was very unimpressed. After also returning 3 Sony TVs because of manufacturer's defects, I am beginning to wonder why anyone would like Sony.

But then again, I do own a Sony STRDE325 Pro logic receiver, and that one is okay. In fact, it makes my Bose 501 speakers, which everyone apparently hates, sound pretty good.

Stay away from this system unless you can get it for less than $300, otherwise, you'll be kicking yourself the way I was.
