Strength:

The features of the Samsung SV3000W :Worldwide HI-FI conversion of all broadcast format tapes...In september I
went to europe for a long overdue visit to friends and fam.members and then and there i made up my mind to get the SV 3000W.The conversion process is real simple :put the input via the remote on auto and all formats are adjusted .
An automatic eject feature controlled via the remote, very handy !!When you press record repeatedly you can set the timer up to NINE HRS.!!! I still have to find a VCR that can do that.Inputs galore 2 Video out-2 Line in An SCART connection.Diamond Heads for increased durabillity.

Weakness:

I miss the LP speed You cannot tape in LP!!

This machine is not cheap by any means Close to a $1000,-
is an awful lot to pay for an VCR with some tricks, although the silver faceplate awes you from afar as you walk towards it.The fact that it converts all vcr formats with the push of one of the six selectorbuttons is very straightforward,
and the led screen lets you know what is goiing on pal-ntsc
and so on with two little rotating wheels and an converter
bar in the middle .I was goiing to buy the latest Aiwamx100
with Hi-Fi but glad i did not..

I recorded and send several tapes over to holland (from the earth to the moon complete} and othet full 6 to 8 hr recordings and the quality was very good !!Hi-Fi and Surround were fully intact..Mine is hooked up to DSS and
makes solid recordings ...Programming is the most convienient i have seen sofar, just pressQ pro on the right top :the Q pro sreen lists the date input time an stop time default set to 2 hrs, direction keys are used for adjusting time and input ..date and pesent time are automatic so dont worry about those..When putting in a Pal tape on a NTSC TV
the picture will run but press monitor and it stops and displays NTSC signal so you can watch your recording from
Pal to NTSC or any other format .Tracking is Auto and starts
when a tape is put in and adjust during the first 5 seconds
of play.

Get the extended warranty just in case,it is worth it..
Conversions welcome !!!
