Strength:

Perfect clone of original broadcast. Can use regular VHS tapes with modification. Easily outclasses DVDs, since anything can be recorded for just the price of a blank tape, plus you get 2 movies per tape (4 hrs on a T-120 in D-VHS).

Weakness:

Cooling fan noisy.

This unit is the greatest! I wouldnt trade it for anything. I get a perfect clone of everything I tape in D-VHS. Plus I use normal T-120s (usually RCA 10 packs for $10 a Walmart) by adding a hole on the bottom where the S-VHS hole normally is. Can make great VHS copies from D-VHS which are better than rental tapes. Too bad it has not caught on. Have never had a problem with the unit in over 2 yrs. Can get a nice rebate from Dish too.
