Strength:

DCDi, Support all DVD formats, Built in Dolby & DTS Decoder, Easy to navigate

Weakness:

"Made in China", Front R and Rear L are crossed wire.

After searching all DVD players that could provide DCDi, Built-in DTS & Dolby decoder, Changer, Multi-DVD Formats (DVD+/- R/RW)... voila, Yamaha DVDC940. This product has all the main features that I'm looking but couldn't find any review on the internet yet. So I went ahead and bought it at $350 (not bad in comparing with $500 MSRP. It can't play any of my DVD-R (Liquid Video brand) and DVD+R (Office Depot brand except 1 out of 50). It plays DVD+R from Fujifilm (2 out 2). Whereas my old 5-year old Pioneer DV-C302D (when DVD+/- R/RW is not popular yet) still able to read all my DVD+R except when it reaches the end of the disc where everything screwed up. Played around with console setting and checking the speaker setting. When I checked Front (Right and Left), my Front Left and Rear Left produced sounds. When checked with Rear Left, Rear Left produces sounds. Bad wiring???? Everything works fine except when testing Front (R + L)... is it because it "Made in China"???? YUCK!!!! No choice but return it.
