It's a good multifuntion unit for the price. Plays MP3's,VCD,DVD,CD-Rs and CD-RWs Supports Dolby® Digital/DTS®/Dolby® Pro Logic™ II, A&B speaker outputs (stereo mode only)

The remote is clunky and if you get the old version you're in for a disappoitment. No DVDA or SACD capabilties.

I want to give this a great review, but the "Corporate Types" who made the decision to ship this unit with a known remote defect should be axed. Anyway now that the bugs are all worked out. I.E. the service department sent me a free replacement remote that works I'm happy with this unit. It plays everything I throw at it and has a picture and sound they can be proud of. More power than my PSB speakers could handle as well. Wont't your neighbors be happy about that :-)! The old remote can be saved and cleared with a code (999) if you made the mistake of trying to use it to setup the preprogrammed VCR codes which cause it to lock up. Once cleared you can teach the old remote (since it's a learning remote too) the codes for your VCR one at a time giving you two fully functional remotes. Talk about making lemonade out of a Lemon! It can be complex to set up all the availble DSP, Video modes and other goodies that pack this unit, but once you're done it's not bad in day to day operation.
