Strength:

CD sound.
DVD Audio is not bad, but I like SACD better than DVD-A.

Massive enclosure, sound is rigid.

By the way, the combination of Benchmark DAC1 and Pioneer DVDplayer is far better than TOSHIBA only. More 3D image and depth.

Weakness:

Troubles in reading DVD.
As a DVD player, this is not good.

Nice DVD player if it can read DVD completely.
Manytimes DVD was skipped and sometimes shows blurred image even brand-new no mark, no scratch DVD.
I changed main DVD player to Pioneer, so free from skipping image.

CD sound is good, very good. Tight bass through balanced connection. Clear and open stage.

The machine stopped working abruptly. I contacted Toshiba service, but they told they cannot repair it.
That is it.

Machine was good, but Toshiba service is very very bad. They are just sell only no service attitude.
This DVD player must be the last product of Toshiba for me.

Customer Service

I compare with SONY and JVC service.
They repaired the product which was sold in Japan only.
TOSHIBA said no.

Retail price was $2000plus DVD player needs better service.

I never buy any TOSHIBA.
