SACD playback. Beautiful picture quality. Excellent remote.

Absolutely none.

I originally purchased this Sony DVD player mainly for use as a SACD player, but it's picture quality is so excellent that it doubles as my video player as well. This player has many great features and options, not to mention outstanding audio/video playback. It plays every single disc I've thrown at it without a hiccup. The remote is among the best I've ever had (and I've had a lot!). I've got nothing bad to say about it....it's a steal at twice the price I paid!

Where my Samsung got all choppy, this did not happen with the Sony DVPNS90V.

Price seems to be a bit high. Remote feels cheap.
Doesn't have 1080P

As far as looks of the unit, it has a nice face and is only about 2 inches tall.
It's a silver face with a white dot-matrix looking, luminecent display. Not offensively bright, like my Samsung.

I find it brighter than my older DVD players. It's also a bit softer and not as harsh.
A descent picture.
The menus are not great. Take a bit to get used to it.

For a couple hundred more, it might be worth going for a player with the Farouja processing and 1080P.

This is my LAST sony product........freeze and then freeze some more. picky on almost every DVD I'm not even going to fught with sony on this thing i'm just going to replace it
