Strength:

Easy to use, good audio and usually good picuturs

Weakness:

Less than six months operation before unit stopped working. Also experience excessive "picture freeze" or skipping during operation.

This was my first progressive scan DVD, bought it to hook up with my WEGA 34" HD TV. Unit "died" after less than six months operation. Will cost almost $100 to fix through Sony. (I usually do not purchase the retailer's extended warranties, but this time I got burned.

Strength:

Audio, video performance top notch.

Weakness:

None yet.

Just purchased this unit to replace my broken Philips DVD724. I was intrigued by its new 12-bit video processor. So far the unit works flawlessly. Picture and sound quality are top notch and the unit has a quality feel to it.
