Strength:

NONE

Weakness:

The product stopped working after 4 months!! AND the Manufacturer does not stand by his product.

DO NOT BUY THIS PLAYER!!! Thompson electronics will not support your purchase. They offer a 90 day warranty and one years parts and labor. The catch is labor is $90 for a replacement unit. They MUST know how bad this unit is. The player was working fine (except for a sqiggly line sometimes on the screen). The player only saw brand new DVD's during its short life. I tried all their suggestions, ie disk cleaner, power completely off, push button sequence to intiate the unit. Still....player returns with "no disk".
DO NOT BUY THIS UNIT!!! DO NOT BUY RCA!!!! THE COMPANY COULD NOT CARE LESS ABOUT THE CONSUMER!!

Strength:

Low price, supports VCD's, no compromised quality

Weakness:

Doesn't support CD-R, not the best for features

Very nice player, great playback for DVD's and VCD's, but only supports VCD's on CD-RW. If you're looking for a solid, economic DVD player, add this to the list of possibilites!
