Strength:

Nice picture,nice looking

Weakness:

It's a POS with terrible reliablity

I will NEVER buy another Panasonic product after this!! I got it fixed the first time free of charge, but when they fixed it, they broke the fast forward button. 5 months after I got it fixed, the door won't open. Every third disc I put in it now, I have to slide the manuel open slot underneath it.If I could go negative on the overall rating I would. Everyone who bought this thing should get together and sue.

Strength:

Looks and sounds great when it works

Weakness:

same as everyone else's-pixelation/freezing
customer service sucks

Wow! I feel relieved that I am not the only one with this problem and utterly enraged over Panasonic (as I was when I first had the problem just out of warranty). I have had the player for about 2 years now, but I first experienced problems about a year after owning the player. When I took it in, Panasonic were not helpful, friendly or undertanding in any way. Of course, they didn't mention that this (pixelation/freeze-ups) was a consistent problem or that there had been similar complaints. I considered writing to Panasonic, but after repairs (there is another 100 bucks so now it is a 500 dollar machine-very steep for student-types like me), it seems to work better, although I still occasionally have pixelation problems, but no freeze-ups as earlier. So, I just chalked it up to bad luck. Apparently, it is only a matter of time. After reading these reviews, I will definitely write to Panasonic and I will never, ever buy another product from them. For the lucky few who have escaped unscathed, congratulations. But for others, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT NO MATTER WHAT (or any Panasonic product for that matter given their track record and lack of consideration to their customers). Shame on you, Panasonic.

Strength:

Did have a nice picture untill the pixelation started to occur.

Weakness:

Pixelation problems now appearing.

Well I was happy with this unit untill very recently when the pixelation problems are starting to occur. So far the only movie that seems to be affected is Saving PR. Pixelation seems to occur in all the battle scenes, especially evident when explosions are occuring on screen.

After reading the other reviews here, it looks like it won't be long till mine's a paper weight as well.

Paid a premium whennew for this cause my receiver didn't have AC-3. Will not buy another panasonic product again.

Strength:

Good Sound Quality

Weakness:

Horrible Remote

I am very disappointed in this machine. As with everyone elses machine it worked wonderfully for the first month or so. After the warranty was up I experienced pixel problems on the majority of my DVD's. The other night I wanted to wacth The SKulls and it would read the disc. How disappointing is that. I want to here from people on how I can get this lemon fixed or replaced by Panasonic. I would appreciate any comments or suggetions.
