I have 4 of these. made in japan product.mineall multi-region - hsrd-chip mods, I think.total reliability.prog.scan.plays dvd.a in stereo.good dacs = great sound.- can record/play full pcm optionally, in addition to dolby digital. both good.

obsolete for years. but rugged reliability most important for me,

when upscaled by my yamaha plasma, results stunning, deep blacks, fluffy white clouds,fine detail. UHD/3D eat your heart out :)written in may 2017.
