Great sound and picture for a non-progressive scan. Incredible build quality for a mere $99 shipped!

Don't like the fast forward and reverse options as much as the earlier Onkyo versions. VERY VERY hard to find this unit. I went back to the website a couple of weeks later to get another one for myself as a backup dvd/cd player and they were long gone!

Wonderful dvd player. This was the player that came with one of Onkyo's home theater systems. I found it being sold as a separate unit online and bought it for my girlfriend for Christmas. Great picture and sound and is quite good for cd playback. Very well built for the shamefully low price! I've seen some of the plastic garbage out there for more money that wouldn't even function well as a paperweight. Onkyo should have pushed this as one of their high-end players instead of trapping it in the questionable 'home theatre in a box' market. I don't even know if these are still available. If you can get one anywhere near the price I paid, they are simply unbeatable for a non-progressive scan player.
