Strength:

Fine playback quality; great digital sound

Weakness:

None that I can see or hear

This is my first DVD player, which I bought after reading the reviews here. After two weeks of use on all kinds of DVDs (included the dreaded DVD-buster "The Matrix"), I can honestly say I have found no flaws. Everything plays and sounds great.

My advice? Don't buy a cheaper player. Spend a little more (I paid $200) and get something of this quality.

Strength:

Easy to use. Has played all movies perfectly so far.

Weakness:

none

I bought this beauty from Ubid. $189.00! What a great deal! It was not even Refurbished! The best deal I could find anywhere else was $289.00! Considering what I paid for it, I could not be happier. Now if I could only win the V309 reciever with AC-3 and DTS...

Strength:

Excellent picture and sound quality. All the output you will need.

Weakness:

None so far.

I bought this player because I sold my Panasonic A110 which was giving me problems with the layer change and locking up on certain discs. This player is a repackaged Panasonic player. It has the same menus as my previous player except a few more options on the menu. I'm assuming this is the Panasonic A120 repackaged. One key thing though is that it has 1 year parts and labor warranty for this player. Panasonic only gives 90 days labor and 1 year parts. Also it's from Kenwood who has given me good service in the past when there was a problem. Panasonic simply denied that there was a problem with their player which popped up after the 90 days labor warranty lapsed. I got a pretty good deal at 800.com for 249.00 delivered. So far so good on this player. I hope it lasts.
