It is cheap, cheap, cheap. But it works, works, works. It was able to play every DVD that I put into it, even the ones that did not play in my Apex or Magnavox players. It has S-video, composite and component outputs and they all work. Picture quality is OK (nowhere near 1080P) but that's not the point. It plays 4:3 and 16:9 formats nicely. My pre-teens watched it for years and didn't kill it. It plays CDs in a pinch, too. IWhaddya want for $35? I bought 2 of them years ago and never regretted it. They both are still in use.

Weakness:

None

Bought it to use as a second unit--But it played every CD and DVD that we put in it. Our top of of the line RCA-DVD that we paid over $200 for would not play a lot of CDs & DVDs that were recorded on other units, the Daewoo had no problem.
