Strength:

Cheap.

Weakness:

Doesn't work well.

I wanted an inexpensive, decent dvd player for the sole purpose of playing movies I rent at the library. On Black Friday, I bought 2 Coby 227's (1 for a relative) for $10. each after rebate. I tried 3 CD's of new movies on each. Both paused repeatedly during playback, the picture seemed fuzzy and the sound was bad - like a scraping noise that started low at each scene change but got louder as it progressed. Tech support said return the units, which I did. Money is money and at any price this model is not worth the expense. I bought an open box JVC XVNA77SL and it seems to work just fine.
