This item is really incredible for the price.
I bought it used for about 30 USD. With remote in mint condition.

Laser made "jumps" from scene to scene so the original owner decided to sell it.
All it needed was some cleaning of the rails on which it moves. Now it works perfect.
It's kind of standard dvd transport.

The picture is very good. Warm, detailed, relaxing, fairytale-like.
It adds a specific nice mood to the movies.
Colors are deep and fresh. If I needed to make short description it would be two words: Warm and deep.

Resolution of the picture is very good. I used TARA LABS PRISM SVS (S-video) and Nordost OPTIX OX1 (coaxial) for tests. TARA gave the picture more warmth and resolution, while Nordost test resulted in enchanced fluency, more neutral colors and detail.
I did not test the COMPONENT, buy I belive it to be best - for sure the results can be better. The sound was tested on TARA 100a RCAs. with3 different, decent TVs.

At the end I have to add that this DVD has all the outputs you would like - that includes: Video Coax, S-Video, Component, SCART, Surround Audio RCA, Stereo Audio RCA, OPTICAL DIGITAL AUDIO OUT, COAX DIGITAL AUDIO OUT.
