Strength:
The plastic is resistent.
Weakness:
If you are wearing glasses (like I do), they could get unconfortable, because your ears are squized on the glasses... I've had these headphones for quite a while. The sound is good if you are listening to rock, but if you are listening to hip-hop...the bass would need some improvments. |

Weakness:
The earcups squeeze your ears like a vise, and durability is questionable. (The plastic near the headphone's weakest point began to crack.) This is a review of the Sony MDR-V100Mk2 headphones (which is identical to the MDR-V50 except that it has a longer cord and a gold-plated plug). IMHO, the sound quality of these is better than the MDR-V200, but not as good as the MDR-V300. The drivers on these are the smallest I've seen on a home headphone. The bass is fairly deep and not boomy, the highs are a bit better than the MDR-V200, but the midrange is still a bit muffled. Overall, an average performer that is rather uncomfortable to wear.
