Strength:

lightweight; doesn't bother when used for long periods (up to 2 hours)

Weakness:

interference

I tried several Sony models (all cordless), all more expensive. I had to order them through the mail, directly from Sony. I returned them all and went back to the MDR-RF930.
I used them to watch movies at night, therefore they have to be very light, otherwise they'll start bothering after a while. I tried several others at different stores, and they all put too much pressure on the sides. More than quality sound, I was looking for comfort, but I think these headphones give me both.
For the money, they are the best.

Strength:

Good sound, comfortable, low battery drain

Weakness:

Occasional "dropouts", will fall off your head if you bend over.

I have been an enthusiastic headphone user for nearly 50 years, but have always longed for freedom from the fershlugginer cord. I've tried several models of the cordless types (both infra-red and RF) in the past 5 years or so. Each have had plusses and minuses -- this SONY model is the best so far!
Are they perfect? Of course, not. After all, they're man-made ... and we all know that man doesn't produce perfection. But for what they are, they (and their slightly higher priced sibling -- the MDR-RF950) come close enough to be well worth owning, especially at their price.

Strength:

Its a Sony!! Lightweight & Autopower-off.

Weakness:

Keeps Falling-off. Cannot hang it on neck w/o turning it on. Picks up all kinds of interference signals. Doesnot cover the ears. Not worth $70 or $100.

I hated them the very first hour I got them. Does not have enough Bass. Doesnt fit well on the head. Falls off if you do not keep your head straight. Pick up interference signals very easily. I compared them with the RCA 900 Mhz headphones side-by-side with the same audio o/p & the same environment. Does not have rechargeable system. The auto on/off are very very low-tech. When the band gets pulled it turns on. So if you carry it in a bag and something puts a little pressure on the band, it will remain on and will drain battery.
I returned them within 7 days losing $11 for S&H. I could not bring myself to keep them even though I got a great deal on the price. Its simply not worth $70.
The ear pads are not the ones that cover your ears. They are the ones that sit on your ears and your ears start aching.
All these not-available features are there in the $150 model MDR RF-950RK but I dont even want to try them.
I love the RCA headphones(which are available for $25-35 on ebay) which have strong signals and are less than half the price of this one.

DONT BUY THESE HEADPHONES.
