I´ve listened Matrix M-Stage in a setup with Musical Fidelity V-DAC, AKG K-701 headphones, Onkyo DX-706 CD-player and Onkyo ND-S1 i Pod dock. In short, my music listening with this equipment is practically on daily basis (even several hours a day). With high class recordings the set with Matrix M-Stage is very inviting, almost seducing in a discreet, "silky" way. I hesitated between M-Stage and a budget tube phone amp, and so far I must say I´m very pleased with this one. I suppose a tube amp would more merciful for "bad "recordings. This anyhow is mostly due to analytical headphones. The price for M-Stage w. customs and transportation was about 245 €.
