Yamaha CD-C600 Multiple CD Players

Yamaha CD-C600 Multiple CD Players

DESCRIPTION

Designed to Deliver Satisfying Sound Quality Inheriting many of the sound quality features of the S2000/S1000 Series components, this CD changer delivers sound that will satisfy devoted music fans. In addition to CDs, it also provides high quality play of music files stored on digital audio players like iPod or USB memory devices via a USB port on the front panel. Pure Direct The CD-C600 provides the same Pure Direct feature that is a popular feature of Yamaha amplifiers and receivers. Pressing the button on the front panel or on the remote control shuts down the digital audio output and turns off the display. This achieves the lowest possible noise interference and thus highest sound quality of the analog audio output. Extremely Sophisticated Circuitry and Layout Yamaha technicians devoted a great deal of time and effort to designing the overall interior layout of parts and circuit boards, a factor that significantly affect sound quality. Whether youre having guests over for dinner, or simply want chill out with a selection of your favorite albums, the CDC-600 from Yamaha has you covered. While this high-fidelity CD player sports a five-disc capacity, PlayXchange technology lets you change out multiple discs with out interrupting the CD thats playing. If youd rather listen to an audio mix from your computer, you also have the option of connecting a USB thumbdrive pre-loaded with MP3, WMA, or WAV audio to the CDC-600. Finally, a three-mode text display shows a CDs title, artists name, and track titles while you listen.

Strength:

It's a good CD player, I've been using it for almost two years for listening to my online lessons. The sound is clear, and it's easy to understand every word. For me, it is very important, as I need to write reviews on the lessons. Of course, most of my papers are written by the service https://supremedissertations.com/ as I'm not the best writer, but still, this CD player is good enough for me.

Strength:

It's a very nice CD Player (but with a major flaw, see below.) Great features, easy to use, the loading tray works great, awesome feature to have one disk playing while changing the others. USB input works well. Very quiet. Pure direct mode is cool. This CD Player is well worth it as long as you are only going to use the digital output. (Optical). If that's the case I highly recommend it.

Weakness:

Could be a fantastic CD Player but it has one major flaw - a very lackluster DAC. For the price, ($500 CAD new), this is simply unacceptable so this is why I give it 3 stars. I could stomach the DAC if it were cheaper. I have tried it with both the analog and digital outputs hooked up to a modern receiver, and there is quite a difference, with the digital being much better. On a vintage Nakamichi receiver with only analog inputs, this CD Player simply is outclassed by a cheap Sony DVD/CD Player that I got for free! Very disappointing. The DAC makes music sound very compressed; so bad that it lowers the gain and cuts out A LOT of detail and fine sounds in music. Another smaller annoyance is that it won't play .flac files from USB. C'mon Yamaha, really?
