this review is for the philips CDR 800 recorder. It has a 3 disc play well and a single recording well. I have had problems with this unit from day one. I tried to return it to best buy and they would not take it back because I was one day past their return pilocy because october has 31 days and I was returning the unit on 30th of November. Anyway, the recording well does not recognize any brand of blank disc media, including the philips brand. Moreover, I tried to buy a new lazer for it and found that the part was no longer being made. Philips was absolutely no help at all. It took a month to get a live person on the phone. It has been a complete waste of money and time.
