Strength:

Detailed, lively and even dynamic sound for such a low price.

Weakness:

For the price - none!

I am using CDP-XE370 CD player already 3 months. When i started listenning, i was suprised how it performs the music. It's reasonably detailed, a little soft, with the good tonal balance. It sounds lively, with good resolution like a player for at least 250$. Especially it's fine for modern music. However,it's not a perfect, of course, sometimes there is lacking of solidity, it can't sound, for example,as natural as my CD players Marantz CD67mk2 and DENON DCD860, but for the price it's just great! It's very convinient in operation, espetially needs to be mentioned the jog dial knob. No one else can suggest such a quality for even 200$. It's perfect solution for second system or for people, who needs a inexpensive good player.

Strength:

Good mechanism, solid, optical output, reasonable internal DAC. Good remote.

Weakness:

No headphone jack, have to use the amplifier''s. Otherwise nothing major.

I was looking for a low cost "transport" to feed into the DAC of my HT receiver. After some looking around I decided on the Sony. I''m pleased I did, this is one good player! The mechanism, for a low cost unit, is excellent.Solid, opens and closes smoothly and quietly, and does not have the cheap plastic feel and flimsy tray I have seen in other brands. The internal DAC is acceptable for the price, and offers good stage and clarity, but suffers a bit at the high end. Using the optical output and going through the HT receiver ( Denon) really opens it up!

Strength:

Great CD player for the money. It has many of the options that expensive CD players have. If you are looking to save some cash on your CD player and dump it into the reciever (which I would recommend) this is the deal for you.

Weakness:

Not as many options as the more expensive players.

Great product for the money. Does not come with a remote however. You can run the CD player with a sony remote if you have a Sony reciever. Otherwise you can run almost all the options from the buttons on the player. Great bargain, saves money. 5 stars
