Although I already own a PD-S802 for several years now, I'm still liking it! The very good sounding Legato Link conversion technique has already proven itself and won several awards. The stable platter mechanism is also a unique feature (CD's are inserted up-side-down on a phono-like platter) and this transport system ensures very stable and correct input for de DA convertor en thereby helps to boost the output-quality even further. As I am looking for a 'everything-compatible'-DVD player I'm still not certain if i'm willing to give up this fine CD-player, even if it is a pioneer DVD with hi-bit legato link....

i bought this cd-player because of the low price i could get it at and i think it has the best transport-system currently available on the market . well , it performs flawlessly (unlike it's owner) and sounds quite superb for the price . pioneer have really been making some nice cd-players of late , and i am a satisfied customer . later this will become a transport only in my main system , but until then i am satisfied with the level of musical satisfaction i get from the system as a whole .
